I’ve made this mistake many times ! Block off your calendar for next year now! It would be so fun in New York—the Corner Bookstore (my old indie), the Strand, Books are Magic (the possibilities are endless).
The stores in this post are all amazing, but had to leave a shout-out to my own personal favorite DC local stores, Loyalty Bookstores and East City Bookshop. Both basically got me through the pandemic with their subscription bundles. Glad you were able to make the most of the holiday!
